Calling all cosplayers! It’s tutorial time! If your like me, when you first started out cosplaying, you had no idea what you were doing. Especially in the world of make-up. So when you took a look at all the amazing cosplay pictures in the internet. How they make their faces so sharp, the features so amazing, and how they make their eyebrows match the wig color. Now, this tutorial won’t cover all of these subjects (I’ll get to those in later reviews) but, I will help you learn how to cover your eyebrows. It’s easy as one, two, three!
Step 1. Gather your materials.
If you hope to cover your eyebrows for your cosplay, you gotta start with gathering the necessary materials. The materials to cover your eyebrows can vary from cosplayer to cosplayer, but there are some I’m partial too.
- Elemers glue glue stick (annoying to use, but it comes in handy)
- concealer (make sure to use a shade lighter than your skin it’ll be easier to cover your eyebrows that way)
- powder foundation (with this it’ll need to be the same skin tone to make everything easy to blend)
- blending sponges
Step 2. Apply the glue to your eyebrows.
With this step, make sure you really smudge that glue on to your eyebrows. This will take a few minutes to dry, but when you can’t feel them anymore that’s when you know you have put enough. Also make sure to apply the glue with the grain of your eyebrow hairs–that way the hairs will stay down better. Lastly, this step may need a few times over, so don’t be afraid to really layer that glue.
Step 3. Apply the concealer.
With this step, you’ll want to carefully dab the concealer onto your eyebrows. And just like with the glue, you will want to go with the grain so you don’t tear the glue off of your eyebrows. (And believe me, it’s not a fun experience.) Also, make sure to apply a lot of concealer, you’ll thank me later for that tip, trust me.
Step 4. Blend the concealer in.
With this step make sure to dab the concealer in, covering each inch of your eyebrow. The more smooth you can get this, the more believable the covering will be.
Step 5. Finish it off with powder foundation.
After your done blending in the liquid concealer, apply the powder foundation as a finish. This will darken the tone a bit and really make your eyebrows look like they never even existed.
Ei voila! your eyebrows should no longer be see-able! You are now free to make them look however you want. From making darker more longer lines, painting them another color entirely, or even pull of the Garra look with no eyebrows! The possibilities are endless!
